Mourning: What's Love got to Do with It?

I been going through the bible meditating on God's love. Yesterday I read "Blessed are they that mourn for shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4). At first glance a blessing on mourn seems inconsistent with love. After all, When we love someone, we want them to be happy. Right? And surely God is no exception. So Why`a blessing on mourning? I believe that the blessed form of mourning is mourning over sin. James 4:8-9`says " Draw nigh`to God and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded..." Weep and mourn: Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness. As I meditated the Lord revealed the key word is "your." What we humans naturally consider joy is much different from God's because our "sins have hid his face from" us (Isaiah 59:2). In scripture God's face and His presence are synonymous.Psalms 16:11`says of God, ..."In thy presence is fulness of joy...." In other words mourners are blessed because they by His grace choose to trade the sullied, cheap,  fleeting joys for the pure, sublime, eternal ones. So He wants us to mourn that we may receive something better. This is love.
